Volunteers

Volunteers

MSR draws on support from British NHS staff, medical students, teachers of English, amongst others. Please contact us if you want to know more about volunteering.

The concept and value of voluntary work has been noticed by MSR’s generous Romanian hosts who have found local sponsorship, opened their homes and frequently worked extra hours without pay.

"There is an enormous opportunity for self-development available for UK staff who take on the challenge of voluntary working aboard. Leadership, communication and influencing skills are some of the skills that can be developed and strength- ened when working outside the NHS and the UK."

Excerpt from the article  "Supporting infection prevention in Romania: working together with Spitalul Judetean de Urgenta Zalau", authored by Carole Hallam and Ramona Marincas, and published by The Journal of Infection Prevention 2010 11: 172
